On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Halsford Park School, may I warmly welcome you to our website. It is a privilege to lead such a dedicated and hardworking team as well as working alongside such motivated and enthusiastic pupils. 

Our school motto is ‘Soaring to Success’ because this is what we want our pupils to feel each and every day, in every aspect of their life. Our school values of “Compassion, Courage, Responsibility and Respect” underpin our work because we know these four values contribute strongly to positive attitudes to learning both in school and the world outside. Any visitor to our school will no doubt be impressed with the pupils’ positive attitudes and exemplary manners; thus seeing these values in action. As a result, Halsford had a very successful Ofsted inspection in November 2022 which recognised that our commitment to children’s Personal Development is ‘Outstanding’. Moreover: “Pupils fully embrace the school’s values. These values permeate through all of school life. Pupils show remarkable levels of understanding and empathy towards new children who arrive at the school having experienced varying cultural and life experiences.” 

An integral part of our school is the resounding commitment to inclusion and raising standards for all pupils. The team work very hard to ensure the children achieve high standards especially in the key areas of English and Maths, however we also want our pupils to experience a broad and irresistible curriculum through our passion for learning and inspirational teaching. The team work tirelessly to provide exciting and relevant learning experiences which stimulate as well as challenge pupils. I want to hear our pupils telling their families about the exciting learning they have experienced each and every day.

As a school we are extremely committed to establishing a strong working partnership with our families as we know you are a vital part of your child’s educational progress. We will continue to foster this partnership through Parents’ Forums as well as regularly inviting parents to our termly celebrations of learning and Fabulous Finish events, ‘Find Out Friday’ open afternoons and through a close working relationship with our fantastic PTA. We have an open door policy so please feel free to discuss any aspect of your child’s development with us. It is our priority that every child feels safe and happy as we know that will support a lifelong love of learning, leading to individual success.
